We are incredibly proud to share that one of our talented Year 6 pupils has been shortlisted for the prestigious Young Poet Laureate 2026 programme, run by the National Literacy Trust. This national initiative celebrates young voices and champions poetry as a powerful form of creative expression for children aged 7–14. As part of the next stage, she will attend a regional masterclass where shortlisted poets work with professional poets and perform their work, with the opportunity to progress even further in the competition. We wish her the very best for this exciting experience and hope she enjoys every moment of learning alongside fellow young writers and professionals poets.
